#AVATAR THE LAST AIRBENDER KISSCARTOON SEASON 2 SERIES#
Like what I said, this series captures the feeling of Ancient China, but on the Legend of Korra, it captures the 1920s with the songs, style, and culture of that time. The animation feels like anime because of the expressions and designs and therefore felt extremely original for Nickelodeon. Just like Gunbuster/Diebuster, it gives an interesting goal for the show and the story still holds up as influential for many shows to come.
The Legend of Korra doesn't feel like a re-telling of Avatar: The Last Airbender because of how different each book is (well aside from Book 4: Balance) and it actually gives more great characterization that makes the characters loveable later on. Also, Korras bland episodes aren't nearly as bland as The Last Airbenders, along with every episode not feeling generic anymore.

Each season give the characters interesting and engaging goals that kind of interferes with the focus, but at least I can see that the focus here is better. Now onto The Legend of Korra's writing, which I can tell is better because of how more action packed and beautifully crafted it is. Some subplots can lead to the climax, but a lot of them deserve a separate episode of theirs. And because of horrible focuses, the episodes plot can be all over the place or just too much to handle/process. I know that they're called subplots, but I'm irritated of how much they take up an episode if they have nothing to do with the episode.

But the writing isn't entirely perfect/as good as Invader Zims or Gunbusters/Diebusters, because of how generic and bland the episodes can be and very commonly in the show, the focus sucks here. But I digress, what made me come back to the series is not only the creativity, but also the action and conflict put into each episode, as they're entertaining and sometimes funny. The Last Airbender had a goal that spans the entire show, while The Legend of Korra had a goal for each season. Like how Gravity Falls handled a season having a plot, so is all seasons of Avatar and The Legend of Korra. Like in my Fairly OddParents scorecard, " each paragraph will be divided into 2 parts that discusses the aspects of both runs."Īlmost everything about the writing felt pure original and extremely interesting. One thing that dropped my balls is that there's 21 Epic episodes, so much that the Top 10 list shows the best of the best. It's so great that it's possibly one of the most engaging shows I've reviewed, from its creativity with the 4 elements (Water, Earth, Fire, and Air), to the feeling of Ancient China. Instead of using Kisscartoon to watch Avatar (I use Kisscartoon to watch and review all shows), I've seen this show on Amazon using a subscription on Roku.īut now that I've finished one of my favorite shows as an audience member, what are my thoughts? Obviously, I love the series because of how everything about Avatar differs from all Nicktoons.

Later, my family convinced me to watch the series, hoping for me to get better at "understanding movie plots". Thankfully, I didn't watch The Last Airbender movie, but I did watch the first 3 episodes of The Legend of Korra and that's it. I don't watch Avatar: The Last Airbender on Nickelodeon, but on DVD, where I used to watch all episodes of The Last Airbender. If you guys never know, this is one of my childhood shows. From all of the shows I've reviewed, this series is one of the hardest I've did, as I thinked hard while reviewing each episode of the show.
